Stock will produce about half single flowering stems and half double (pictured).  So plant twice as many as you need.

Seed Sowing:

Start seed indoors 6 weeks before your last frost.  Can be transplanted outdoors when weather is still cool.  Do not pinch.  

Cut Flower:

Harvest when half of flowers have opened.  Do not cut too young, as remaining flowers will be slow to open.
