Seed Sowing:

Sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last frost, seed needs light to germinate so do not cover. Harden off and transplant outdoors after danger of frost has passed. 

Cut Flower:

Harvest when flower has dropped and seedpod has formed.  Expect it's vase life to be up to 10 days.  Flax can be dried, seedpods will turn into a beautiful golden colour.
