Details:

• Type: Perennial in zone 3-7, most grow this variety as an annual
• Site: Sun to part shade
• Height: 10-20 in
• Plant Spacing: 12 to 18 in apart
• Pinch: not necessary
• Harvest: when one third of blossoms are open on the stem

Seed Sowing:

Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost.  Transplant outdoors when weather is still cool.  Seeds may need cold stratification for better germination, place in freezer for 10 to 14 days before sowing.  Can be direct seeded into the soil late fall or early spring.  

Cut Flower:

Delphinium are beautiful tall flowers, that make excellent cut flowers for event work.  Harvest when only one-third of the blossoms have opened.
